Erik was a dear friend for nearly 40 years.  He was fun, enthusiastic, shrewd and loyal, and he had such a way with words!  I miss him greatly and will forever treasure his friendship and admire his devotion to his beloved Paris.  I am so grateful to have had the opportunity to see him a year ago in person and to speak with him again shortly before his passing.  I send my deepest condolences to friends and family.
